Trabajar para ser feliz (Coursera)

En nuestra vida diaria nos movemos a toda velocidad por diferentes escenarios: la familia, el trabajo, la vida social. Muchas veces podemos quedar atrapados en la vorágine o en la rutina del día a día y olvidarnos de algo importante y que da sentido a todo lo que hacemos: cómo ser felices y cómo hacer felices a los que nos rodean en casa y en el trabajo. Hoy en día existe una confusión, porque estamos muy centrados en el “bienestar”. Vivimos en una cultura que tiende al consumismo, al activismo y nos olvidamos del “bienser”, entendido como ese sentido de plenitud que lleva a sentirse bien con uno mismo y con su entorno.

El trabajo ocupa muchas horas del día y tantas veces es fuente de preocupaciones. Nos preocupa más el bono, la evaluación de desempeño, los reconocimientos externos que nos dan cierto status y tranquilidad económica, pero nos olvidamos de lo verdaderamente importante: estar bien con uno mismo y compartir esta felicidad con las personas que queremos.
Este curso te permitirá entender mejor esos escenarios donde se desarrolla tu vida y te dará herramientas e ideas para que puedas construir tu propio proyecto personal para alcanzar una vida plena de sentido en el mundo actual.
Lo hemos preparado un grupo de profesores con la ilusión de ayudarte a reflexionar y ojalá que tu aprendizaje puedes compartirlo con otros, tanto en el trabajo como en casa.

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Trabajar no es lo que era
¡Bienvenidos a la primera semana del curso TRABAJAR PARA SER FELIZ! Cuando termines esta semana podrás identificar las nuevas coordenadas que presenta el mundo laboral y su impacto en las personas, en las empresas y en la sociedad. Podrás evaluar la incorporación creciente de la mujer al mercado laboral y su aporte al mundo de los negocios. Serás capaz de analizar las expectativas y motivaciones de las nuevas generaciones y su relación con la trayectoria profesional. También podrás proyectar los cambios que trae la globalización al ámbito laboral y su alcance para gestionarlos con éxito.

WEEK 2
Ser feliz. Éxito en la profesión y realización personal y familiar
¡Bienvenido a la semana 2 del curso! Esperamos que hayas tenido un buen comienzo. En esta semana titulada: "Ser feliz. Éxito en la profesión y realización personal y familiar", indagaremos el significado de Ecología Humana y su relación con la felicidad. Otros de los temas que veremos en esta semana son: La base de la felicidad en el hogar y la familia. La familia como formadora del capital humano. La importancia de los vínculos familiares. La familia como la configuradora de la vida social. La educación como el camino de aprendizaje y la economía como arte de administrar la casa.

WEEK 3
El sentido del trabajo y del Liderazgo
Arrancamos la semana 3 del curso, ya estamos en la recta final. Felicitaciones por llegar hasta aquí! En este módulo vamos a procurar entender mejor la relación entre trabajo y felicidad. Estamos ante dos conceptos que no se han llevado muy bien a lo largo de los siglos y que por mucho tiempo fueron asumidos como realidades tan antagónicas que para muchas generaciones el ideal de una vida feliz consistía en poder vivir sin trabajar. Los tiempos han cambiado y hoy el trabajo parece ocupar un lugar mucho más destacado en lo que entendemos por felicidad. El trabajo no es lo más importante de la vida, pero nadie puede ser feliz si tiene un trabajo que no disfruta o si se gana la vida haciendo cosas a las que no le encuentra sentido. Aprender a disfrutar y llenar de sentido lo que hacemos es el arte de la vida y la condición para poder construir felicidad desde el propio trabajo. Este módulo te servirá para dar los primeros pasos en este arte tan decisivo para tu vida. La clave está en descubrir todo lo que un trabajo nos puede dar además de un salario y explorar a fondo esas oportunidades.

WEEK 4
Hacer del mundo un lugar mejor. Personas y empresas con propósito
¡Felicitaciones por llegar hasta esta instancia! A lo largo de esta semana hablaremos sobre la sustentabilidad como un cambio de mirada frente a la responsabilidad social. También te contaremos sobre la familia de los colaboradores: un nuevo stakeholder de la empresa. Te presentaremos las estrategias para la integración familia y trabajo. Por último veremos a la felicidad como modelo de negocio. Éxitos y esperamos que disfrutes esta última semana juntos.
