Este curso te permitirá comprender la educación en contextos rurales de América Latina y los desafíos que plantea en la actualidad. A partir de las estadísticas actuales y literatura reciente, se caracterizará esta modalidad educativa, para identificar sus fortalezas y la potencialidad de inspirar, a partir de ellas, mejoras en otros contextos educativos.

Este curso fue diseñado por las fundaciones Bunge y Born y Perez Companc, en el marco de su Programa Sembrador, junto con la Universidad Austral. Es el primero de los cuatro cursos que conforman el Programa Especializado en Educación Básica en Contextos Rurales, que te permitirá comprender qué es la educación en contextos rurales, cómo se gestiona, cuál es el rol de la comunidad en la escuela, y analizar algunos casos de estudio.

What You Will Learn

  • Comprender el concepto de ruralidad, su incidencia en educación y caracterizar el modelo organizacional propio de las escuelas en contextos rurales
  • Describir las dimensiones de la educación en contextos rurales en distintos países de América Latina
  • Analizar las perspectivas teóricas que orientaron la organización de la educación en contextos rurales
  • Comprender la complejidad de las prácticas escolares en territorio rural y su potencialidad para inspirar prácticas en otros contextos

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Especificidad de la educación en contextos rurales
Contenidos:

  1. Concepto de Ruralidad: criterios para su definición / 2. La nueva ruralidad / 3. La heterogeneidad de la ruralidad en la región / 4. Especificidad de la educación en contextos rurales. / 5. El multigrado y es aislamiento como características propias de las escuelas en contextos rurales. / 6. Potencialidades de la escuela en contextos rurales.

WEEK 2
La situación de la educación en contextos rurales en América Latina
Contenido: 1. Las distintas regiones dentro de América Latina / 2. La heterogeneidad de la región / 3. Dimensiones y características de la oferta educativa y de los alumnos / 4. Desafíos pendientes: educación de calidad y equidad en las oportunidades educativas.

WEEK 3
Teorías y prácticas de educación rural en América Latina
Aproximaciones a las perspectivas teóricas en la construcción del conocimiento en secciones múltiples o plurigrado. (Escuela Nueva o Activa - John Dewey, Kilpatrick, Montessori, Herbart, Villafañe y las Hermanas Cossettini- Teoría Crítica -Freire, Giroux y Apple-Teoría del Aprendizaje Dialógico –Aubert y Flecha- y Paradigma Emergente –Boaventura de Sousa Santos-).|Prácticas cotidianas en escuelas en contexto rural. Rupturas y continuidades a partir de voces de maestros/profesores.
