Design Research: Needfinding & Feedback (Coursera)

What problem should you be working on? Finding a big problem to solve can help you find opportunities to make a big impact through design. Starting at the beginning of the design process, you’ll discover strategies for creatively brainstorming problems to work on and challenges to address. You’ll learn commonly used techniques to discover user needs, goals, and values that lead to untapped opportunities for design. In this course, you’ll learn techniques for unearthing ideas based on real world settings and learn how to turn your observations into a concrete point of view as a designer.

Human-Computer Interaction III: Ethics, Needfinding & Prototyping (edX)

Build on your knowledge of HCI’s core principles by learning to design interfaces in the real world. Begin with the ethics of human subjects research, then learn critical methods for requirements gathering and brainstorming design alternatives. In this course, you’ll begin by learning the design life cycle. This is the process by which we investigate user needs, brainstorm potential designs, create prototypes, and evaluate those prototypes. This life cycle provides the structure for the third and fourth courses in this professional certificate.

Introducing Metadesign (POK)

Introducing Metadesign aims to present the whole design process, covering phases, activities and tools, enabling students to “designing the design process”. The “Introducing Metadesign” stems from the need to transfer a methodology, a consolidated research practice able to support the design process. The design process is inextricably linked to all the elements of constraint and context that characterize the reality in which the product/service will be developed, communicated, marketed and used.

Feedback : A Powerful Tool for Efficiency and Effectiveness (edX)

In most of the studies and literature on Organisational Behaviour, little has been said or written about feedback and its powerful impact. Because of its evaluative and corrective nature, it has a strong impact on the receiver's thoughts. There are two sides to every feedback situation: the giver and the receiver. It is critical to both give and receive feedback in order to improve and employee’s and a team's performance. When administered correctly, it has a significant influence.
