By the end of this two-week course, you’ll have a good understanding of how you can leverage these frameworks and contribute to sustainable, resilient cities.

Unpack the importance of good governance and policy making
You’ll see how important localising the SDGs and initiatives such as the New European Bauhaus are to participatory governance. You will also consider how to avoid unintended negative outcomes in sustainability initiatives.
As you learn what an ethical, sustainable city is and why it’s important for the future, you’ll gain insight into how to influence good governance and policy making to improve participation.

All the concepts that are introduced in this course are done so through several sustainable city case studies.
You’ll have the chance to evaluate the different examples, assess how their governance and policies allowed them to implement various frameworks, and whether you could apply their methods.
