Your assignment is to invent your own product that solves a problem or annoyance. You will identify a problem area in your morning routine, sketch out ideas for a product that would solve that problem, design your product in 123D Design, and print it using the simple Shapeways platform.
Throughout this process, you are encouraged to iterate on your design to make it as functional as possible. All products are prototypes but not all prototypes are products. Where do you make that call? That question is the essence of iterating when you design.
