Panos Shiakolas

Dr. Shiakolas is an associate professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington. His research is focused in Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) and Robotics for Manufacturing, Rehabilitation, Training and Surgical Environments, BioMedical Processes, Computer Assisted Design and Manufacturing, and the investigation of new paradigms, techniques and approaches to engineering education. He has developed multiple educational testbeds and routinely employs hardware demonstrations in his classes in order to excite, energize and engage the students. He received his Ph.D. from UT Arlington and MS and BS degrees from UT Austin.
