Ivan Koulakov

Head of Laboratory for Seismic Imaging at Novosibirsk State University, Head of laboratory of seismic tomography at IPGG SB RAS. Has performed investigations of various geological structures throughout the world, such as active volcanoes, fault zones, rifting systems, geothermal fields, collision and subduction zones. Ivan Koulakov has created an algorithm for local earthquake tomography LOTOS (Koulakov, 2009), which is available in open access and used by many researchers worldwide. There are other modifications of this algorithm developed by Ivan Koulakov that provide the information about seismic anisotropy, attenuation and temporal changes.
