Bas Amelung

Bas Amelung is an assistant professor at the Environmental Systems Analysis group. His research and teaching center on the interrelationships between global environmental change and tourism. Bas has published extensively on the impacts of climate change on tourism, in particular regarding climate comfort. He currently coordinates the SIMTWIST project, a three-year European research project on tourism water consumption in the context of water scarcity in the Mediterranean region.
