Alexandru Maries

I received my PhD from University of Pittsburgh in physics education in 2013 with a focus on the role of multiple representations in physics problem solving. Currently, I am the post-doctoral teacher scholar and assessment consultant at the Discipline-Based Science Education Research Center (dB-SERC) of University of Pittsburgh. At this center, I work with faculty members in Natural Science departments who are interested in using evidence-based teaching strategies to improve student learning. I also provide consultation with assessment of teaching effectiveness and proposals which have a significant educational component.
