Value is foundational to your art practice. It is a core principle of drawing and without a good grasp on value, paintings will fail. In this class, we discuss value, it's importance, and we make three different value scales.
For this class you will need:
- Pencil
- Paper
- Acrylic paint (black, white, and an additional color of your choice)
- Paintbrush
- A painting surface such as paper or canvas paper
Project Description
In this class, we will create a value scale in pencil and two value scales in acrylic paint. One painted scale will be black and white, the other will be a value scale in a color of your choice.
