Teoria Musical (Coursera)

Explore os elementos básicos que compoem a música, desenvolva sua percepção, tire músicas de ouvido, e aprenda a ler e escrever usando notação musical. Procuramos criar um curso que unisse a cultura e música brasileira com técnicas de aprendizado de solfejo e leitura rítmica. Você fará parte de uma aula de Percepção Musical ("Ear Training") na Berklee College of Music, cantando e praticando com outros alunos e interagindo com os vídeos. Além disso, você terá acesso a material para praticar, como faixas de acompanhamento e partituras.

O material usado para estudo é derivado de grandes exemplos da música brasileira, demonstrados por artistas de fama internacional como João Donato e Alcione, entre outros. O curso, apresentado pelo professor da Berklee College of Music, Gilson Schachnik, cobre as escalas pentatônica, maior, menor natural, e o modo mixolídio, além de vários conceitos rítmicos e progressões harmônicas. Além do material estudado, cada aula apresenta entrevistas com os artistas envolvidos.
Nesse curso, dividido em 6 aulas, você irá usar solfejo para aprender música de ouvido, como transcrever o ritmo da música e, finalmente, como usar todos esses elementos para escrever a música com notação musical e transpor para qualquer tom. Também será dada atenção para a prática de percepção musical direcionada a harmonia e culminando com a última aula aonde você irá compor uma música usando todos os elementos aprendidos no curso.
Os projetos são corrigidos e avaliados pelos alunos, criando uma comunidade unida pelo amor à música.

WEEK 1
Boas-vindas
Seja bem-vindo ao curso! Aqui exploramos todos os detalhes sobre o curso e o que você precisará saber para tirar o melhor proveito da sua experiência.

WEEK 2
Introdução à Percepção & Capoeira Angola na Bahia
Nesta aula, vamos introduzir os conceitos básicos da teoria e percepção musical, incluindo padrões rítmicos básicos, a escala pentatônica (depois somando a nota Fá), e estratégias para transcrever uma melodia de ouvido. Vamos explorar um pouco sobre a Capoeira Angola com uma Roda de Capoeira na Bahia, e usar a canção "Paranauê" como base para a aula.

WEEK 3
Escala Maior & Música Gaúcha
Nesta aula, vamos introduzir a escala maior, mais conceitos rítmicos básicos, e a cadência harmônica Dominante-Tônica. Vamos falar um pouquinho sobre a Música do Rio Grande do Sul, e usar a canção "Prenda Minha" como base para a aula.

WEEK 4
Harmonia Diatônica Maior & a Música de Minas Gerais
Nesta aula, vamos falar sobre harmonia diatônica no modo maior e introduzir diferentes fórmulas de compasso. Vamos usar a canção "Ponta de Areia" de Milton Nascimento, grande representante da música de Minas Gerais, como base para a aula. Especialmente de um ponto de vista rítmico, a música de Minas Gerais, principalmente a música de Milton Nascimento, não é conhecida por um único elemento característico, mas puxa elementos de várias áreas do Brasil e de fora também, como ritmos dos Andes - e acaba tendo uma certa personalidade e unidade.

WEEK 5
Escala Menor Natural & Samba no Rio de Janeiro
Nesta aula, vamos introduzir a escala menor natural (modo eólio) e suas tríades, e também trabalhar com ritmos mais avançados. Vamos falar sobre Samba, com foco na bateria de Escola de Samba no Rio de Janeiro, e usar a canção "Canto das Três Raças" como base para a aula.

WEEK 6
Modo Mixolídio & Baião
Nesta aula, vamos introduzir o modo mixolídio e o acorde de sétima dominante. Vamos falar um pouco sobre o Baião, usando a canção chamada "Baião" de Luiz Gonzaga, importante ícone da música do Nordeste do Brasil, como base para a aula.

WEEK 7
Revisão & Composição
Nesta última aula, vamos revisar brevemente o conteúdo do curso em preparação para escrever uma peça original de 16 compassos. Após a revisão, você verá um exemplo com alunos demostrando o processo, e terá a oportunidade de escrever sua própria peça.
