Solidworks Furniture: A Simple Table or Desk (Skillshare)

Starting off with a simple sketch, we'll explore ways to create the base of the desk using weldments, a wood table top, learn how to use the sheet metal tool, and put it all together in an assembly. We'll then chose colors and materials, to render everything in Photoview360, creating a finished prototype of our desk or table. And, to finish it up, we'll create a drawing for manufacturing.

Don't buy furniture, make your own.
The assignment will be to create a desk or table, which could be a dining table, coffee table, work desk, standing desk, etc. Then after all the parts are complete and assembled together in an assembly, you'll chose colors and materials to create an awesome render of the final piece. Then post the picture for all to see. Extra credit if you actaully build it! =)

Have you ever said, "I'm not an artist" or "I can't draw"? Or have you ever created a piece of artwork and then you looked at it and thought, "my artwork is no good, there's something wrong with it." Not long ago, I said these same things. My turning point came when my nieces taught me that art can be fun and it doesn't have to be expensive.
