Risk Communication (KTU)

This MOOC provides practical tips, hands-on tools and the most recent examples for the effective risk communication. Course is open for everyone who is interested in individual, national or global risks in contemporary world and would like to acquire skills in designing, visualising and using media for risk messages. This course is based on the Erasmus+ project "Risk and Security Governance Studies within Baltic – Nordic Academic Community of Practice".

Course structure
This course will be held from 23rd of October until the 11th of December 2017 for everyone who sees themselves interested in risk communication and its challenges. In particular forms, it is a flexible course, which allows you to plan your activities. Each week requires 3-4 hours of individual effort.
Each week provides a new topic on risk communication. Professionals from the RISK-NET will present topics ranging from designing risk messages to visualizing risks and communicating using social media (see detailed outline below). You will be able to expand your knowledge by following the recommended readings, participating in online forums and check your knowledge in various interactive weekly quizzes and practical assignments.
