Aprenda a realizar pronósticos de cuentas macroeconómicas y a diseñar un programa económico para un estudio de caso de país. Con este curso de macroeconomía mejorará sus aptitudes para analizar políticas macroeconómicas y aprenderá a diseñar un programa económico y financiero utilizando datos económicos reales. El ejercicio de programación financiera simula tareas que los economistas del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) encargados de los distintos países llevan a cabo cotidianamente en su labor de supervisión y elaboración de programas de países.

En la primera parte del curso (módulos 1 a 7), analizará las perspectivas económicas de un estudio de caso de país y luego ayudará a construir un escenario base, es decir, una serie de proyecciones para los principales sectores económicos (real, externo, gobierno y monetario) que reflejen la mejor estimación del analista sobre lo que ocurrirá en la economía a lo largo del año siguiente, suponiendo que no haya cambios en las políticas.
En la segunda parte (módulos 8 a 10), aprenderá y analizará cómo pueden usarse las políticas macroeconómicas para corregir una mala evolución económica y reducir los desequilibrios macroeconómicos. Ilustraremos el funcionamiento de las políticas monetaria, fiscal y cambiaria mediante un sencillo modelo keynesiano de una economía abierta. En el último módulo, diseñará un escenario de programa de préstamo respaldado por el FMI para nuestro caso de país.
