In this quick reference class we’ll go over some of the most used terminology, forms and lingo used in the fashion business. By the end of the class, students will have a better understanding of how the fashion manufacturing process works and feel more comfortable and knowledgeable when interacting within the fashion industry.
Great for beginner students, interns and designers new to the fashion design industry.

-Insight into how a design moves through the process
Create your own examples of line sheets that you would give to buyers and reps. Think with the end in mind. What would your line sheet look like for a small capsule set of 5 designs? How would you display all the necessary information and make it creative and enticing to the buyers?
Find a local designer, call and ask if you could come in and meet them. (Be sure to do a little research on them). Tel them you are a student with a research project and you would love if they had 15/20 minutes to spend with you. Bring your lingo sheet and ask their thoughts on the items and if they can show you any of the other the items on the list and how they use them. This can help open communication and who knows you might get a mentor out it!
