Ces outils d’analyse sont ceux que les spécialistes en macroéconomie appliquée utilisent le plus souvent, y compris au FMI. Vous apprendrez à appliquer ces outils techniques et à interpréter leurs résultats.
Ce cours passera en revue les différents secteurs de l’économie. Vous découvrirez les outils qui permettent d’évaluer un secteur particulier et ses vulnérabilités. Ces outils pratiques seront faciles à mettre en application et produiront des informations essentielles à l’évaluation qu’effectue un économiste.
Vous n’apprendrez pas seulement à utiliser ces outils, nous vous montrerons aussi comment peaufiner et interpréter leurs résultats. Nous ne nous contenterons pasde saisir des chiffres dans une formule sur Excel. Le but sera d’utiliser les résultats de ces outils et de faire un travail d’appréciation pour établir le bilan économique d’un pays.
Pour vous aider à comprendre l’utilité pratique des enseignements, vous réaliserez une étude de cas au cours de laquelle vous examinerez un pays appelé «Diagnostica». Nous parcourrons ensemble une série d’évaluations sectorielles. Pendant le cours, nous vous montrerons comment établir un diagnostic à l’aide de différents exemples de pays. Ensuite, nous serez appelés à effectuer le même exercice et à interpréter les résultats obtenus pour Diagnostica. Enfin, nous intégrerons les évaluations sectorielles dans une analyse complète appelée matrice d’évaluation des risques. Cela nous donnera un aperçu des principaux risques et faiblesses de Diagnostica.
Ce cours sur les diagnostics macroéconomiques est offert par le FMI avec le concours financier du Japon.

What you'll learn
Analyser la production potentielle et calculer les écarts de production, déterminer les composantes de dépenses de la croissance, mesurer l'inflation et évaluer les sources d'inflation
Évaluer l'orientation de la politique monétaire et budgétaire et interpréter les indicateurs de solidité du secteur financier et les indicateurs de risque
Analyser la viabilité de la dette publique et de la dette extérieure, examiner la position extérieure et évaluer le risque de désalignement du taux de change
Évaluer les perspectives de l’économie à moyen terme, notamment la viabilité de la dette publique et de la dette extérieure, et définir les obstacles à la croissance à long terme
