Syllabus

Module 1: Linux App Server Fundamentals
The Linux operating system is an important part of the IT infrastructure, especially servers and the cloud. Nearly every developer and administrator will interact with it at some point in their career. The lessons in this module will help you understand the basic Linux commands, their syntax, and operations fundamentals. In addition, you will summarize and apply the Linux organization principles, apply permissions, and manage Linux-based servers.

Module 2: Automation Scripting Fundamentals
Whatever role you choose in IT—power user, administrator, or developer—you are likely to hear discussions of programming languages and interact with scripts. In this module you will understand the basics of scripting, summarize the use of scripts in automation, and develop a Bash script.

Module 3: Data Management Fundamentals
The modern IT field includes data management as an essential function, as data is one of the most valuable assets an organization can hold. In this module you will understand the basics of database management and apply your understanding in database analysis. In addition, you will summarize data security basics and apply your understanding by backing up data.
