Vithal Madyalkar

Vithal is the Director of IBM Innovation Centre for Education, responsible for the global roll-out of IBM Systems Lab's University Initiative.
Vithal has a Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering with over 30 years of experience in the IT industry and is enjoying his 23rd year with IBM. He has been a recipient of the “Innovation" and "Individual Excellence" awards from the IBM Systems Development Labs in the years 2015 and 2016
In his previous roles at IBM, Vithal headed the IBM Innovation centre for Partners and was responsible for leading IBM partners as they developed next generation solutions for multiple industries like banking and healthcare. Vithal has lead & transformed the Bengaluru Innovation Centre which was subsequently recognised as the “Best Innovation Centre” globally. The Innovation Centre provided mentorship and incubation to more than a hundred entrepreneurs/start-ups and set-up two incubation centres. Vithal has also worked in IBM's consulting, global services labs and software divisions.
Before his stint with IBM, Vithal was an industry solutions architect and a member of the strategic group at SAP India Ltd. responsible for driving SAP’s solutions across India/South Asia region. Vithal is happily married with two beautiful kids.
