Tom Spink

Dr Tom Spink is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Computer Science, at the University of St Andrews, and previously a Senior Researcher at the University of Edinburgh. Throughout his research, he has pioneered the use of hardware virtualisation support for dynamic binary transla­tion and is currently investigating how IoT systems can be efficiently virtualised at scale. He is broadly interested in the area of computer systems, and more specifically compilers, runtimes, virtualisation, and operating systems.
