Susan Oaks

Susan Oaks has a Ph.D. in American Literature and degrees in English and Education. She has worked at the State University of New York, Empire State College, for 29 years, many of which have been spent designing online courses in writing and literature which apply the reflective journaling which ePortfolios support. She received the SUNY Chancellor’s award for Excellence in Teaching and the Sloan-C award for excellence in Online Teaching. Recently, she has been experimenting with using ePortfolios for degree planning purposes. She has written and presented on the use and value of ePortfolios in the learning process.
