Stefan Weinzierl

Stefan Weinzierl is Professor at Technische Universität Berlin. Since 2004, he has been head of the Audio Communication Group. His areas of research include audio technology, musical acoustics, room acoustics and virtual acoustics with a focus on perceptual aspects of spatial sound and virtual realities. He has edited handbooks on musical acoustics and on audio technology, an activity in which he has benefited from his pre-academic career as a recording producer and engineer. Dr. Weinzierl currently coordinates several research consortia on virtual acoustics, musical acoustics, and music information retrieval.
