Samuelson Appau

Samuelson has a background in marketing and market research and holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Melbourne. Samuelson is currently a lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Marketing at RMIT University. He teaches Brand Management and Consumer Behaviour. Samuelson's main research concerns exchanges and brand building strategies used by religious organisations. More recently Samuelson's research has extended to understand the growing phenomenon of the sharing economy and how exchange and brands operate within this growing global marketing trend.
Prior to joining academia, Samuelson worked in market research and brand consulting for Millward Brown in West Africa, advising clients such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Unilever and Etisalat. Samuelson also consults for many start-ups and entrepreneurs on how to build and sustain strong brands in Africa.
