I am Professor of Clinical Psychology and an honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist with Mersey Care NHS Trust. I am Head of the Institute of Psychology, Health and Society at the University of Liverpool, with over 200 academic staff (31 of them professors) comprising clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, general practitioners, public health physicians, nurses, sociologists and others. The Institute conducts world-leading research in the areas of well-being, health services research, public health research and research into mental health and applied psychology.
