Pavel Manakhov

Dr. Pavel Manakhov is an Associate Professor at National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) and the Lead Interaction Designer at USABILITYLAB, a leading provider of usability services in Russia. He joined the School of Software Engineering at HSE in 2014. Since then, he has taught all interaction design classes of the school. His latest research is concerned with the study of issues related to the analysis phase of usability evaluation methods as well as tools for interaction design and usability evaluation. Before working at HSE, he was a Visiting Lecturer at Moscow State University of Technology “STANKIN.”
While working at USABILITYLAB, he completed numerous commercial projects including, but not limited to projects concerned with mobile interaction design for various industries such as telecom, finance, insurance, education, etc. Before joining USABILITYLAB, he was the Head of the Software Development Department at a freight forwarding company Si-Trans Ltd.
Pavel has a Ph.D. in Computer Science with specialization in Human-Computer Interaction and a Master’s degree in Engineering all from Moscow State University of Technology “STANKIN.”
