Patti Christie

Patti Christie has been a lecturer in the Experimental Study Group (ESG) at MIT for over 22 years, where she teaches both Chemistry and Biology classes along with numerous seminars. She has also been involved in the MIT Chemistry Department General Chemistry courses. Patti enjoys developing new chemistry content through video and active learning exercises. Patti earned two HBSc. degrees from Lakehead University, one in Chemistry and one in Biology. After completing her Ph.D. in the Chemistry Department at MIT, she followed it up with a Post Doc in the MIT Biology Department. She has developed MIT OpenCourseWare scholar classes, the chemistry curriculum for a new university, the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), and is currently working on online learning through MITx and edX.
