Mathieu Lucquiaud

Mathieu is a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, where he teaches Carbon Capture technologies - and more conventional topics, such as mathematics and thermodynamics - to undergraduates and MSc students. Mathieu’s name and accent indicates very clearly that he is from France. He crossed la Manche, a.k.a. the Channel, in 2005 move to the UK to start a PhD in Carbon Capture from power stations, and then moved to the University of Edinburgh in 2010, initially as as a post-doctoral research associate. His research centres on close to market and novel carbon capture technologies in electricity, hydrogen and heavy manufacturing.
