Martijn Wisse

Martijn received his MSc and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Delft University of Technology. His previous research focused on passive dynamic walking robots, and now he is using concepts from that research (such as passive stability) for the field of robot manipulators for agile manufacturing. His current research interests include underactuated grasping, open-loop stable manipulator control, design of robot arms and robotic systems, agile manufacturing, and the creation of startup companies in the same field.
