Margret Amatayakul

Margret Amatayakul, MBA, RHIA, CHPS, CPEHR, FHIMSS has over forty years of experience in health information management and health informatics. She has served as a director of health information services, an executive at related associations, and full-time and adjunct faculty member at colleges and universities. Nearly twenty years ago she formed Margret A Consulting, LLC to promote adoption of electronic health records and compliance with the Administrative Simplification provisions of HIPAA, including the transactions and code sets as well as privacy and security. She has consulted for over two-hundred providers, health plans, business associates, and federal policy-making entities. Since 2013, several client engagements have included VBC activities, including providing assistance in development of an accountable care organization, supporting the transition to the patient-centered medical home model of care delivery, creating a toolkit for providers to use in VBC implementation, and conducting an environmental scan and primary research in operational needs of providers and health plans to ensure successful roll out of VBC programs.
