Kathleen Archer

Dr. Kathleen Archer is an associate professor of biology at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where she has taught undergraduate biology for over 25 years. Dr. Archer has extensive experience with teaching techniques including case studies, clickers, group exams, inquiry-based learning, backward design and more. Dr. Archer has trained with the National Center for Case Studies Teaching in Science, completed the American Society of Microbiologists Biology Scholars educational research residency, and has led numerous workshops on teaching and learning. She has conducted research on the misconceptions students hold about plant biology and is working on a concept assessment for introductory plant biology.
