Katharina Schneider-Roos

Katharina Schneider-Roos is CEO of the non-profit foundation Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB). Katharina’s team has assessed over one hundred infrastructure projects across the world to identify a range of environmental, social and governance risks and potential impacts. Katharina was respon-sible for organizing an annual investment forum during GIB Summits, and led the publication of the Sustainable Infrastructure Capacity Building Handbook and a Scoping Study for the Early Stage Pro-ject Preparation Stage. She co-chairs the Cities Climate Leadership Alliance’s (CCFLA) Working Group on Project Preparation Facilities, is member of the CCFLA Steering Board and a member of the ICLEI Resilient Cities Conference Program Committee. Katharina has been a key driver in establishing SuRe® – The Standard for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure. Katharina is member of the Steer-ing Board of the Resilience Measurement, Evidence and Learning Community of Practice funded by the Rockefeller Foundation.
