Jaume Pujol Capdevila was born in Seu d'Urgell (Catalonia, Spain) on December 6, 1955. He live in Sabadell since 1957. He received the B.S. degree in Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (1978), the B.S degree in Computer Science at the same University and the M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1991 and 1995, respectively. He was with this University since 1988.
His main research interests are in coding theory, compression and classification, and graph theory. He is interested in many types of combinatorial structures related to perfect codes, mainly the 1-perfect codes. He is also interested in algorithmic methods in coding theory and in computational discrete mathematics.
