Born in the U.S.A., Heidi completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanistic Studies at the University of Wisconsin, followed a Master’s Degree in TESOL and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Syracuse University with a focus on language and identity. She has taught English in the private sector and at Syracuse and Yale Universities as well as at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Since 2005 she has been Head of English at the Technical University of Munich, where her special interests lie in teaching writing and using digital technologies to enhance learning.
