Guiseppina Spano
Giuseppina Spano is a psychologist by training with a Ph.D. in Psychometrics. Her Ph.D research included the evaluation of cognitive functioning in ageing. In particular, her Ph.D. thesis focused on the assessment of psychological factors predicting traffic and home accidents among older people, and the evaluation of spatial cognition abilities through the use of immersive virtual reality. Furthermore, she gained statistical expertise on a number of modelling approaches such as Structural Equation Modelling techniques.
As a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Studies at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy) she is currently involved in national and international research projects. Her research interest evolved towards the field of environmental psychology, particularly on the impacts of NBS on socio-cultural inclusiveness, equipping her with an interdisciplinary perspective on the study of human-nature interaction. She has been recently awarded the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Seal of Excellence within the call H2020-MSCA-IF-2020.
