Erika Palfi

Erika is a PhD student with the Institute for Energy Systems at the University of Edinburgh. She graduated with a M.Sc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Life Science Engineering from the Friedrich-Alexander-University (Germany).
Her current research focuses on a novel concept which is able to reduce the cost of post-combustion carbon capture in large scale power plants. She has several years of experience as tutor and demonstrator in different topics like Thermodynamics, Energy systems and Energy Group Design Projects.
In her free time she is a dog training enthusiast and can be either found out working her dog or hiking and enjoying the lovely Scottish outdoors.
