Hsue-Shen Tsien Professor of Engineering Science at the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014.
Previously in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Chair, 2004-09) at Michigan State University, USA; and the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Head, 2001-04) at the University of Sheffield. Founding member and Director of the Composite Vehicle Research Centre at Michigan State University.
Currently Chair of the School of Engineering's Athena Swan Sub-Committee responsible for implementing our Bronze Award action plan and preparing our Silver Award application
