Dr Darren Gravley has more than 20 years’ experience teaching in the Earth and Environmental Sciences. Darren co-developed the Frontiers Abroad program in New Zealand which integrates field and research-based education. More recently, Darren has been engaging with local communities (including iwi and hapu) in his teaching and research, and designing virtual online field learning experiences.
Darren conducts research in New Zealand, United States, Japan, Italy, and Brazil on various themes including Supervolcanoes, Geothermal Systems and Energy, Earth Systems Science, and Geoscience Education
