Chelsea Curran

Dr. Chelsea Curran is a Technical Instructor and MITx Fellow in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. She earned BSE degrees (magna cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, and SM and PhD degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT. Dr. Curran’s research interests include uncertainty quantification in engineering system design, probabilistic sensitivity analysis, decision-making under uncertainty, and aviation environmental impacts. She is also passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and has organized and participated in a number of K-12 outreach activities in the Boston area.
