Bruce Jenks

Bruce Jenks teaches United Nations and Globalization. He is Assistant Secretary General at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). For the last ten years he has been responsible for UNDP’s resource mobilization, and for relations with the Executive Board, donors, UN agency partners, the World Bank and the IMF, OECD/DAC, the private sector and civil society. He has led UNDP’s engagement in major UN reform initiatives. His responsibilities also include communications. Prior to his current responsibilities, Dr. Jenks served over fifteen years as Director of Budget, Chief of Staff to the Administrator, Director of Strategic Planning and Deputy Assistant Administrator for Management. He led major change processes and the introduction of results based management into UNDP.
