Blake McKimmie

Blake is an associate professor in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland. He has over 40 papers and reports examining a range of social psychological phenomena at the intersection between intrapersonal social cognition and group processes. He predominantly works in applied areas, with a focus on how juries and jurors make decisions. His work has examined how expert testimony is perceived, how a variety of stereotypes influence jurors, and deception detection. He has made submissions to a variety of law reform commissions, and regularly presents his team’s work to legal professionals.
