Bernd Leukert

Bernd Leukert is a member of the Executive Board and the Global Managing Board of SAP with global responsibility for development and delivery of all products across SAP’s product portfolio including applications, analytics, cloud, database and technology, and mobile. Leukert is also responsible for leading the design and end-user experience for SAP.
Leukert was appointed to the Executive Board of SAP SE in May 2014. Since 2013, he has been a member of the Global Managing Board of SAP SE. He has been a member of the senior leadership team since 2008.
Leukert joined SAP in 1994 and has held various management positions in application development, technology development, software engineering, and process governance. He began as a software developer for SAP R/3 and then took on responsibilities as project lead for international customer development projects. Later, he was part of the architect team that designed the business integration of SAP R/3 to SAP partners. In 1999, he assumed development responsibility for the areas of transportation and master data. In 2001, Leukert took on responsibility for installed base development in supply chain management as a vice president, including innovative technologies with in-memory databases. From 2005 to 2010, he was head of Quality Governance & Production in the COO board area. Since 2011, he has been responsible for development of the SAP Business Suite and of SAP Business One.
