Augustus Panton

Augustus J. Panton is an Economist in the Multilateral Surveillance Division, Research Department. His research interests include monetary economics, international macroeconomics, and macro-financial climate risks. Before joining the Fund, he lectured economics at the Australian National University and served in several technical positions in Liberia, including as economist in the Research Department at the Central Bank of Liberia and senior economist at the Liberian Ministry of Commerce and Industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Australian National University.
