Ashique Habib

Ashique Habib is an Economist in the African Department of the IMF. Prior to his current position, he worked in the Asian Division of the IMF’s Institute for Capacity Development. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Toronto, and his research is focused on financing for firms and economic development. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a civil engineer in Canada on mining projects.
