Ariel Hirschfeld

Professor Hirschfeld studied musicology and literature at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where he also graduated in 1995 with a Ph.D. in Hebrew Literature. He is head of the Department of Hebrew Literature at the Hebrew University, and also teaches at The Mandel Leadership Institute. Professor Hirschfeld has published articles and books in literature, music and art, and is a columnist for the weekly magazine "country." In 2008, he won the Prime Minister Award for Hebrew writers.
