Ameeta Jaga

Professor Jaga’s research focuses on the work-family interface relating to culture, race, class, and gender. In 2020, she was the Mandela Mellon Fellow at the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University. Her current research projects deal with understanding how gender equality is perceived in 21st century South Africa. Jaga has been actively working to decolonise South African teaching curricula and research, using knowledge to pursue activism for improving the conditions of oppressed workers.
