Alison Fell

I was an undergraduate and postgraduate at the University of Birmingham. After a year spent in Lyon as a lectrice, I was a lecturer at The Queen's College, Oxford and Lancaster University before coming to Leeds in 2007.
At undergraduate level, I'm co-director (with Dr Paul Rowe) of 'Aspects of French History' (Level 2) and director of the Level 3 module 'French Culture and the First World War'. At postgraduate level I'm currently co-supervising two PhD theses (on civil-military relations in Britain in the First World War, and a comparative study of Saudi/British feminism/women's writing) and two Masters by Research (on French WW1 stretcher-bearer memoirs and on the representation of lesbians in interwar French culture).
