What's up Doc - Formation documentaire pour tous (FUN)

Un travail de recherche d’information pour l’université ou dans le cadre de votre emploi ? Facile : vous trouverez tout grâce à Google. Tellement tout que vous êtes submergé par les réponses à votre recherche, l’infobésité vous menace. Comment faire le tri ? Comment choisir ce qui est utile et pertinent ? Comment s’assurer que ce que vous avez trouvé répond bien à votre besoin d’information et est de bonne qualité ? Et ensuite, comment intégrer ces informations dans vos propres travaux ? Le cours What’s Up Doc vous apprendra, par la pratique dans de vrais outils documentaires, à mener une recherche de niveau académique, à extraire des documents de qualité, à analyser cette documentation et à la traiter pour vos propres travaux, sans risque de plagiat.

Format
Le cours s’étendra sur 8 semaines (hors évaluation finale).
Les 7 modules seront diffusés au rythme d’un par semaine ; le module 5, qui prévoit une activité collaborative entre apprenants via le forum du cours, s’étendra sur deux semaines.
Deux semaines sont prévues pour la réalisation du test final.
La charge horaire de travail est estimée à 2 heures par semaine.
La matière est vue le plus souvent au travers d’exercices (méthode d’apprentissage inductif) ; il est recommandé de faire ces exercices afin de recevoir, dans les retours proposés, les éléments théoriques du module.
Des fiches de synthèse téléchargeables et imprimables (en format PDF) reprennent les contenus théoriques importants de chaque module.
Une évaluation formative est prévue à la fin de chaque module (mais n'entre pas en ligne de compte pour l'évaluation finale) : celle-ci est composée de QCM ou d'exercices avec corrigés, elle porte sur les contenus et les compétences travaillés dans le module.

Plan du cours

Semaine 0
Module 1 - Pourquoi ce cours ? Vos motivations et les nôtres. Ce que vous connaissez déjà.

Semaine 1
Module 2 - Préparer sa recherche, cerner son sujet, le traduire en question de documentaire.

Semaine 2
Module 3 - Chercher. Introduire sa question documentaire traduite en équation de recherche dans les outils documentaires.

Semaine 3
Module 4 - Sélectionner, accéder aux documents, vérifier leur adéquation avec son besoin d’information.

Semaine 4
Module 5 - Évaluer l’information trouvée, critères de fiabilité et de validité d’un document ou d’un site web, identification d’un auteur, initiation à la critique interne.

Semaines 5 et 6
Module 6 - Intégrer l’information trouvée, organiser sa documentation, construire un plan de rédaction, citer ses sources, rédiger des notes et une bibliographie, éviter le plagiat.

Semaine 7
Module 7 - L’heure du bilan. Revenir sur le chemin parcouru, évaluer les compétences acquises et aller plus loin dans la formation à la méthodologie de la recherche.
