SAP Cloud Applications Studio for SAP Business ByDesign (openSAP)

Join this free online course to learn how you can develop small extensions or new functionality within SAP Business ByDesign with SAP Cloud Applications Studio, the tool that helps partners and customers to build and deploy add-on solutions for SAP Business ByDesign.

SAP Business ByDesign is a cloud-based ERP solution supporting end-to-end business processes across various application areas. It supports various industry verticals and scenarios for small and mid-size enterprises. To meet last-mile customer requirements, partners can extend the standard SAP Business ByDesign solution. To do so, partners and customers need a tool that enables them to develop on top of SAP Business ByDesign, fulfilling the specific requirements, be it a small extension or developing a completely new functionality for an industry vertical. SAP Cloud Applications Studio is that tool.

In this course, you’ll learn to create various artifacts available in cloud studio by developing an add-on, based on a user story. Additionally, you will get a fair understanding on various types of add-on solutions and their end-to-end lifecycle management. Most of the units come with hands-on exercises that will give you practical experience of development.
The course starts with the creation and maintenance of business objects and the user interface. You’ll learn how to add business logic and extensions to a business object and extend the related entities like forms, user interface, data sources, and Web services. Additionally, you’ll learn how you can create and enhance the analytical content, define custom forms, add business configuration content, create and consume Web services, define internal communication, define an approval process for business objects, and protect and control access to data created for custom business objects.
Finally, you’ll get an overview of how to develop country-based localization, mashups, and mobile applications.
