Principios de Psicología (Coursera)

En este primer curso se proporcionará una visión integral del estudio científico del pensamiento y del comportamiento humano, donde se van a explorar temas como la sensopercepción, cognición, el aprendizaje y la memoria, así como la personalidad y la socialización. Además, podremos conocer con mayor detalle los fundamentos teóricos y los principales hallazgos en la Psicología.

También se comprenderá la psicología cognitiva, cómo percibimos el mundo y cómo funciona nuestra memoria. Es relevante mencionar que también se identificarán las principales teorías de la personalidad que explican de manera general el comportamiento humano.
Los objetivos del curso son los siguientes:

  1. Conocer los fundamentos teóricos y los principales hallazgos en Psicología.
  2. Comprender la psicología cognitiva, cómo percibimos el mundo, y cómo funciona nuestra memoria.
  3. Identificar las principales teorías de la personalidad que explican el comportamiento humano.

Syllabus

WEEK 1
Tema 1. Fundamentos de Psicología
Bienvenido al tema en donde iniciaremos con un recorrido en la historia de la psicología, pero como una ciencia. La psicología es una perspectiva cambiante sobre las personas y las ideas, no podemos decir que estamos educados, sin saber algo de Psicología.

WEEK 2
Tema 2. Sensopercepción y Cognición
En este segundo tema abordaremos el proceso cognitivo más básico que permite la captación de estímulos, es decir, la sensopercepción o percepción sensorial. Identificaremos como se transforman las señales sensoriales en señales electroquímicas con las que el cerebro puede conjuntar los diferentes estímulos y construir la realidad.

WEEK 3
Tema 3. Aprendizaje y Memoria
En este tercer tema abordaremos el modelo constructivista del aprendizaje, uno de los modelos con amplio nivel explicativo para los procesos que implica la adquisición de conocimientos, habilidad o valores. Identificaremos las aportaciones de Jean Piaget con su teoría del desarrollo cognitivo y otros autores relevantes para la revolución cognitiva del aprendizaje.

WEEK 4
Tema 4. Personalidad y Socialización
En este cuarto tema en el que comenzaremos definiendo la personalidad, después podremos examinar varias teorías que tratan de explicar la manera en que se llegó a tener la personalidad que se tiene en la actualidad y reservaremos una explicación sobre la anormalidad en Psicología.
