Make Your Own Spooky Rubber Stamp (Skillshare)

Offered by Skillshare,
Make Your Own Spooky Rubber Stamp (Skillshare)

In this class you'll learn how to design and create a handmade rubber stamp. I will cover how I use basic carving tools and supplies to design, transfer and carve a rubber stamp. Wendi has spent many years finding ways to make everyday items by hand. In this time, she has learned about stamp-making and rubber-carving so that she can make DIY stamps for any special occasions or as gifts. You can learn this too!

You will be creating a one-of-a-kind Halloween-themed rubber stamp. This class is for beginning and intermediate stamp makers.

In this class you will learn:

  • What supplies you need to start stamp-making today
  • How to design a stamp using paper and pencil
  • How to transfer your design
  • How to carve your design, create a stamp, and use the stamp for cards
  • Bonus: How to emboss the print from your stamp!

You'll be creating a handmade stamp that you will use every Halloween using the techniques from this class. You will be able to apply these techniques for any future stamps you want to make.
Even if you are brand new to stamp-making you will find these techniques very useful, today!
If you want more, here is another fun class on stamp making for beginners:

Color Theory Part 1- Understanding Color Relationships (Skillshare)

I am a high school graduate and soon to be a college student. I plan on studying artwork in college like I have done in high school. Creating artwork has always been a big part of my life. As a child when I started drawing I would spend my days doing that rather than playing video games like my friends. I have been making artwork for a far back as I can remember and that is why I am excited to share what I have learned.
