Linoleum Block Printing (Skillshare)

This class is designed for beginners and those that need a refresher course on linoleum block printing. We will focus on the tools needed, how to use said tools, carving your block, and printing your block. No art or printmaking background is necessary to learn!

You will be creating, carving, and printing your own linoleum block print! By the end of the class, you will have successfully drawn on and carved a block as well as printed to see the end result. The great thing about printmaking is that it allows you to make multiples so you can print as much as you like! Listed below are the materials needed to successfully complete the class (all materials are made by Speedball, please note that you can buy other brands of these supplies, but my personal recommendation for quality is Speedball):
-Pink easy cut linoleum
-Red handled lino cutter (comes with 5 interchangeable blades)
-Metal benchhook
-Soft brayer
-Black (or color of your choice) block printing water based ink
-Strathmore printmaking paper/rice paper/copy paper
-Sharpie marker/ballpoint pen
-Barren/clean brayer/wooden spoon (to apply pressure for printing)

Color Theory Part 1- Understanding Color Relationships (Skillshare)

I am a high school graduate and soon to be a college student. I plan on studying artwork in college like I have done in high school. Creating artwork has always been a big part of my life. As a child when I started drawing I would spend my days doing that rather than playing video games like my friends. I have been making artwork for a far back as I can remember and that is why I am excited to share what I have learned.
